Quest Web Parts for SharePoint
Navigation Tools
The Quest
Cascading Menu (qCascadingMenu)
The Quest Cascading Menu provides a drop-down & cascading
interface to allow the user to glide around the options and
then and click to link to their chosen topic. Very
easy to use. Equally as easy to configure, amounting
to the editing of a simple and intuitive SharePoint list.
Menu items can be text or graphics or both. Texts can
be "styled". Links can deliver content to the current
or a new browser.
As with the qListView, which can "roll-up" many lists, so
the qCascadingMenu
web part is able to form a menu from several menu lists,
each independently managed. This enables restricted
menus, such as Administrator menus to be included as part of
the web part configuration, but because most users will not
be able to access the Administrator's menu list, then
neither will they be able to see the restricted part of the
menu.
