SharePoint Application Workshop

For many organisations the decision to implement a portal or replace an existing one with SharePoint requires considerable thought. For organisations in this position, InfoStrata Solutions provides a moderated workshop for the undecided.

The service is in three parts:

• Investigation & Preparation
• Workshop
• Documentation

Investigation & Preparation

Some time prior to the event, one of our consultants will visit your site for an discovery meeting. The organisational details and requirements recorded will then be used to prepare the presentation and other materials used in the workshop.

Workshop

The workshop is designed to allow your team to reach a decision. It starts with a short presentation on the use of portals and the SharePoint technologies in particular. This leads into an investigation of the company’s requirements as facilitated by our consultant, during which group discussions enable the team to plot a path forward as well as air any concerns, objections, etc. This is moderated by one of our team who ensures that discussions are kept on track and that all participants are given a chance to contribute.

For the event to succeed there must be sufficient preparation on both sides and commitment in terms of time and people on the part of the customer. For our part this involves the site visit outlined above and further development off-site and the provision of two people on the day.

Documentation

Throughout the workshop the key findings, actions and recommendations will be documented by the facilitator and will be used to summarise and report on the events of the day so that decisions made and the processes that led to them are available for future reference.

Deliverables

The deliverables from this service will be a summary report of the findings, actions and recommendations.
